What credentials and experience do your tax preparers have?
All of our tax preparers at Foothill Tax and Accounting are fully licensed to prepare taxes. Each preparer has years of experience working with tax situation similar to yours.
Are your tax preparers up-to-date with the latest tax laws and regulations?
As licensed preparers, we are all required to meet continuing education requirements each year to maintain our licenses. Our continuation classes vary on a large range of subjects which ensures we are kept up to date with all recent tax laws and regulations.
What is the cost of your tax preparation services, and are there any additional fees I should be aware of?
Your return here at FTA is billed on a “per form” basis. You only pay for what you need. Basic returns start at $300 while complicated business returns that require a lot more work will cost a whole lot more.
How long does it typically take for you to complete a tax return, and when can I expect to receive my completed return?
In most instances your return can be completed and electronically filed in as little as 48 hours. Of course we need all your tax documents to be able to complete the return as soon as you submit it to us.
Are you able to handle complex tax situations, such as self-employment, rental properties, or investments?
Here at FTA we handle tax situations of all types… from the most basic to very complicated individual and business entity returns. Your tax situation is in safe hands with us!
Do you offer electronic filing, and if so, is there an additional charge for this service?
Yes. So long as your tax return is eligible for electronic filing, we can handle that for you. There is no additional charge to electronically e-file your return.
Can you provide year-round tax planning and consultation services to help minimize my tax liability?
Yes! One of our most important jobs here at FTA is to provide tax planning services to help our clients pay as little tax as the law allows.
